I checked in with some sources last night and this morning about the official visits this weekend. It sounds like there should be some good news coming from the weekend. Sources in the program don't want to discuss anyone specifically because there are guys who want to take all of their official visits (can you blame them?) and don't want it out there that they are already committed. A quote from a source sums it up: "we definitely will see good news in the near future." I'm not able to specify what "near future" means because it varies by recruit. MSU doesn't have specific announcement days.
They have to balance pressuring a guy to announce vs. knowing it's coming and just being patient. Just because a recruit commits to the MSU staff, it doesn't mean next day they'll announce it publicly. Good news coming, though.
