1) Brian Allen #1. If he could not play center he may not have been #1. With that said, the fact he went ahead of a future 1st Rd pick in 2016 says a lot. IMO Allen will have shot a 2x All-American if he is at MSU 4 years.
2) Padla going pretty high is a positive as that shows he is progressing. With that said, Beedle going early despite being new at OL is a VERY good sign
3) Sweat going ahead of Cooper is significant. Those two will be battling for reps this fall for sure and that is a good thing. It is possible MSU starting DE's in 2016 are Cooper and Sweat, that would be a lot of speed off the edge. Bowers last is not necessarily a bad sign, but it is not good either. We have heard some positive things about him from coaches so it is a little surprising, but still way too early to be of concern.
5) CB, Edmondson over Hicks is significant. It tells us that the hype of Edmondson playing well this spring and making noise is not idle chatter. Between Hicks, Edmondson and Colquhoun MSU is going to find a solid CB to play opposite Cox.
6) Hard to make much of WR's as MSU is so senior heavy.
7) No surprised Lyles going 1, but don't expect him to beat out Price. Price is a blue-collar guy that Cook likes.
