When Naquan committed I had multiple people tell me, "You know he is never going to qualify"
So I did some checking and what I heard from the MSU way was that they would not take a commitment from him if they did not think he had a chance to make it.
What I heard from the best source I have in Illinois this summer was Naquan was almost certainly going to have to go JUCO.
So what is the deal? I think this is a situation where it is very likely that he will end up going JUCO.
BTW, lay off Helmholdt he reports the news and when he gets a tip that a 4-star kid is de-committing he has to cover it.
Someone below mentioned that more attrition could occur. I do not know any specifics per se, but I was informed a little while ago that Auston Robertson was no longer going to be playing in the Army All-American Bowl. I am not sure why that happened, but I am sure it is not talent related.
Still a long time until signing day and I expect we could have some interesting situations.
