Appreciate any prayers you could send our way. As some of you know, our daughter kaylee, who is 26 is special needs. She doesn't communicate or understand. On the 21st out of nowhere her eye swells up. We take her to urgent care where they give her eyedrops. By Monday her eye was completely swelled shut. We took her to ER at UM hospital where we have been since. She has an infection to her eye. Over the past week she has endured 2 different shots to her eyeball (it took 5 of use to old her down motionless, even under sedation-amazing how strong an 85 pound person can be), numerous shots, blood draws, I Vs and IV changes. Her tiny arms are all black and blue. Meanwhile Mom and Dad are rotating stays at the hospital , sleeping in a chair (a recliner at least), with the fun of travelling on I94everyday. Because she doesn't communicate or understand one of us has to be with her at all times. Meanwhile nothing gets done at home. Right now they still don't know the best treatment for her as their goal right now is to save the eye and try to keep the infection from spreading. A spinal draw is next and who knows how much longer she will be here. We are pretty exhausted mentally and physically. BTW I will be posting this on the other site as well Thanks!
