1) Nicholson: Took bad angle of the long run and then over-pursuit on the QB scramble for 1st down. I know I have mentioned WR as a possibility. I spoke with somebody today who has some close ties to program and they said the following. "Montae is possibly the best athlete in the secondary, let him play CB. He has the size and speed, plus he cannot be any stiffer than Lippett was as far as CB."

2) It was good to see Cook doing some improvisation and take off running. Cook is best when he is being somewhat of a a gunslinger. His shuffle pass and taking off running was good to see.

3) Jack/Brain Allen.....While Jack is a better center than Brian, I think it is possible that the best combination for MSU might be Brian and Center and Jack at guard.

Look at it this way

Jacl at Center= 9
Brian at G =7

Total=16

Brian at C=8
Jack at G= 9

Total=17

Brain just looks more comfortable at C than G. Maybe some others who focus on OL could let me know what they think.

4) LJ Scott had some GREAT plays today. I think we saw just how good he can potentially be. The RB situation is fine. Despite the OL injuries MSU still pounded the ball for 250-yards. If MSU can get Conklin and Kieler back, they could be better off for it down the stretch. Amazing that we had a Brandon Clemons sighting.
