But Oklahoma hired OSU co-defensive coordinator Alex Grinch. Grinch spent one year at OSU working with Greg Schiano, under Urban Meyer.
So now OSU has an opening. Look for OSU to make a run at Tressel. MSU is anticipating this. What MSU can or will do to head it off, if it indeed happens, I'm not sure.
When Harlon Barnett left MSU for Florida State, MSU matched FSU's offer. But Barnett wanted to set off on his own for various reasons. I'm sure MSU will be able to match OSU's offer, but MSU might want to exceed it, just to make sure.
