Calling on the collective wisdom of this Board . . .
I'm looking to take my family to a Caribbean all inclusive beach resort in January, 2023. We did this a few years ago - stayed at The Royalton near Cancun. It was nice. (Visited Tulum, did some deep sea fishing, etc)
My wife is afraid of going back to Cancun area right now (drug cartel concerns). While I think staying at a resort would be perfectly safe I'm done arguing that issue (I lost). So, we are looking for a different location.
There will be 6 healthy adults (3 couples) and a 9 month old infant. We are not concerned with great nightlife or bar scene.
Key features are: safe area, nice beach resort (with good beach and beach activities), good food on property (my wife and daughters are foodies), relatively easy travel. Bonus amenities would include: good golf nearby; a water park (or similar) cool excursions (hiking, fishing, snorkeling, scuba. etc)
