Getting auto bid to playoffs.
What have Spurs ever won?
I bust on UM, but they do have some history of success, all be it 20+ year ago. Spurs have nothing.
I have not made my mind up that this is terrible, I just think that some teams should be pissed!
In addition to the EPL/Bundesliga and Serie A teams that will be screwed like Roma, RB Leipzig, Monchengladbach, Napoli, Everton, Leverkusen, Leicester, Sevilla, etc...You have teams like Ajax, Rangers, Shaktar, Celtic, Anderlecht that are screwed too.
To me it would be like automatically letting Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, UCLA, MSU, etc....Into the the tourney.. You would miss out on Cinderella or a team like say Illinois, Purdue or Wake making a run due to a great year.
No Villanova 86 or NC State Jimmy V team.
This is a move driven by Juve, Man U and Real for sure.
