Parking question

For the second game in a row, lot Q had more cars parked in it than slots available. Is this happening in other lots? I got to the game at 11:35 and there were no spots left in lot Q. They let me park on the sidewalk within the lot and I saw several other cars which were basically double parked and they all had passes on their mirrors. Did the school over sell the lots and just assume that there would be no shows?
