MSU defensive backs coach Paul Haynes said today that Tre Person, Xavier Henderson and Shakur Brown will see time in the defensive backfield against ASU.
He said the tempo of Utah State's offense put a clamp on how many reserves MSU could play. He said they often snapped the ball at 8.5 or 9 seconds, and always had the potential to do so. (In the past, Indiana was considered lightning-fast at 11 seconds).
Haynes said that in listening to Tressel, Dantonio and the defensive coaches talk about it, Utah State operated quicker on offense than any team they have faced.
