They can't believe Dantonio can waltz in at the Eleventh Hour with an offer and instantly become one of the leaders for a prospect they've been working on for a long time. Some entertaining commentary over there:
"It also looks like MSU is going to be the landing spot for Panasiuk as well. Every 247 crystal has flipped to him in the last two days. Didn't realize that they were making his final 6/3 when they had never given him an offer.
MSU looks like they are having a monster weekend. These kids they appear to be getting the next couple of days are high end recruits and are the best recruits they have brought in this year. Until this weekend the kids they were getting are solid, but not WOW type kids. I think MSU is going to be a midwestern recruiter, and if they are strong it hurts UM and OSU more than us. Both UM and MSU are going to get some northern Ohio kids. With Meyers ability to recruit at a national level, it may not matter to OSU.
We have sneak into the mid west and steal a couple here and there (Hill is a great get), and stay in control at home and PSU will be fine. I think OSU will have a harder time controling the local high level kids with UM and MSU in the backyard, than we will with Rutgers and Maryland hanging out in our backyard. What I don't want to see is a lot of high level NJ kids driving by State College to go to Ohio and Michigan. So far, Chambers (MSU) and Walker (OSU) are. That could become a problem. I know we really aren't looking at many WR's, and Walker became a lot less of a priority after we got Sanders, but I hate to see the high end NJ kids going to the Big Ten schools west of us."
