We loved the good old days of the Spartan chariot, and historical accuracy be damned, we (the mrs. and I) would love to see our beloved Sparty enter the stadium with more of a flourish than is currently used. In fact, our pregame sequence needs a tune up.
1. the transition from Thunderstruck to the Fight Song is awkward
2. Sparty running out to "and now, the world's most famous mascot.....Spartyyyyyyy" is lame at best.
3. The Carbon dioxide induced "smoke" before the team runs out is weak. I am quite convinced that all that does is raise the pCO2 and lower the pO2 of the players such that we get off to a sluggish start ... random, I know.
4. One reason brought forth when the chariot and white horse were eliminated was the change to real grass, but if Traveler, Ralphie, the u of m cheerleaders, and Bevo can run on their respective grass fields why can't we have something similar.
