Hey gang. I played Forest Dunes recently and it really started a thirst to play some of the top golf courses in the state/country.
I am playing Arcadia Bluffs in August/September, so I am really excited about that. I am a pretty decent golfer (8.2 USGA handicap), but I have played so few “nice” golf courses in the state/country. At 33 years old I am really hoping to play some elite courses over the next 10-15 years.
Playing some of the states best pubic courses is easy. Not cheap, but easy to get a tee time.
My question is how does one go about playing an elite private course? Do you just hope to befriend a member some day? Is playing Crystal Downs, for example, completely out of the question?
If it isn’t out of the question, how does one play a course like that without knowing a member?
Thanks in advance!
P.S. if any member wants to invite a Spartan Grad and current employee to play a private course some day, feel free to e-mail haslett3@msu.edu
