I've already had both my knees operated on for meniscus tears. They both have a some Arthritis. Now one of them seems to have another meniscus tear. I am inclined at this point to have the knee replaced. A couple of questions. If I don't treat the meniscus, do I increase the chance of pulling my ACL? Does it even make sense to repair the meniscus a second time or should I just replace the knee?

I play tennis so part of my calculation is to get my knee to the point where I can play tennis without pain. Does anyone out there play tennis with a replacement knee? Do you have to take pain meds before you play?

Thanks.
