Anyone notice the frequency with which the Rams used a simple bootleg pass last night? They must have ran it least 7 or 8 times. Such a simple, but deadly play, especially with a QB who can move a little. Fake the handoff to the RB, bootleg in opposite direction, rolling away from pressure, hit the TE on a shallow crosser going against the grain, or the WR on an out route towards the sideline. if both of those are covered, which they never were last night, the QB has the option to keep running. At least 7 or 8 yards minimum each time they ran it. And that was against one of the most athletic defenses in the NFL. I'd love to see that play in the MSU playbook.
