A smattering of interesting recruits on hand, Tuesday. Some young ones from Ohio.
Among them, Trenton Gillison, a 6-4, 210-pound TE/OLB. He's a 2018. Played as a freshman this past season at Pickerington Central, which went unbeaten in the regular season, beat Gahanna in the playoffs and then lost to Cincinnati Moeller, 21-13. Interesting player from a very good program. In basketball he's listed as a 6-6 power forward, so he's apparently still growing.
He came to MSU with Chris Frey Sr., who is aligned with a recruiting & development company in Ohio.
Also on the trip were:
QB 2017 Cullen Moore Delaware Hayes High
WR 2017 Michael Smith, 6-1, 181.
I can't tell if Smith is playing for Pickerington Central now or Grove City. His Hudl account doesn't name a school. Last year's highlights, I think, were with Grove City.
WR 2016 Tyrese Speaight, Upper Arlington High, 5-10, 175
Speaight committed to Kent State after receiving his first scholarship offer. But he's still looking around.
A lot of these guys visited practice at Toledo a week or two ago.
**
As for in-state guys, Michael VanHoeven, 6-5, 300, 2017 Paw Paw High, was at MSU's practice.

The above is not a complete list, but it's a list of those I was able to confirm.
