I looked up the refs.They were from the pac-12. I have never used the refs as an excuse and I don't intend to do so now. After the second quarter it seemed like positive plays by MSU were called back due to a penalty. I'm not saying we didn't make mistakes that should not have been penalized.
But think about the pass to Stewart that was ruled incomplete. Think about "hands to the face". Think about the final play of the game. If I went back and rewatched the game I could find 5 or 6 key plays charged with penalties on MSU. They were not looking for at least 1 interference call on ASU.
I had season tickets for 12 years. I have seen many missed calls. This, in my opinion, was even more dramatic than the game against Notre Dame where we were called many times for pass interference.
