Jacey Schuler Named to Softball America Freshman Watch List​

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State softball freshman Jacey Schuler was named to Softball America's Freshman Watch List on Tuesday morning. Schuler is one of eight student-athletes that made up the No. 23-ranked recruiting class by Extra Innings Softball last season.

Schuler brings with her a laundry list of accomplishments to East Lansing having twice been named a Second Team National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) High School All-American.

In four seasons at Antioch Community High School, Schuler earned three consecutive Lake County News-Sun Softball Player of the Year honors while leading the Pilots to a second straight 3A second-place finish in 2024. Schuler finished her senior campaign with a 23-4 record along with a 1.54 ERA and 321 strikeouts in 172 innings pitched, while also hitting .523 with 11 home runs and 44 RBI.

A four-time Illinois Softball Coaches Association Class 3A First Team All-State selection, Schuler's high school career wrapped up with a grand total of 1,113 strikeouts in the circle with a 1.28 ERA, alongside a .508 career batting average, 35 home runs and 205 RBIs at the plate. Her five career grand slams rank second in Illinois High School Association (IHSA) history, while her 205 RBIs rank No. 13.

Schuler ranked No. 36 in the Class of 2024 by Extra Innings and was No. 42 via Perfect Game.
