I know we have had several discussions on appropriate stadium entrance music by the football team in the past with a variety of ideas and suggestion but reading one of the earlier posts on the Spartan Brand by Rickyb88 (http://michiganstate.forums.rivals.com/threads/spartan-brand.41456/) it got me thinking we could do something pretty unique and formidable with our brand and audience at the game.

The pregame rituals are all occurring and it is just before the team is ready to walk onto the field and you see and hear something like this that slowly escalates in volume with each question by the announcer when it is asked…:
Announcer and on video screen: “WHO WILL BE A DIFFERENCE MAKER TODAY?”
Stadium refrain “SPARTANS WILLl!!”
Announcer and on video screen: “WHO WILL COMPETE TO THE VERY LAST SECOND?”
Stadium refrain “SPARTANS WILLl!!”
Announcer and on video screen: “WHO WILL FACE ANY CHALLENGE AND RISE UP TO DEFEAT IT?”
Stadium refrain “SPARTANS WILLl!!”
Announcer and on video screen: ”WHO WILL WORK AS A TEAM TO SURPASS THEIR GOALS?”
Stadium refrain “SPARTANS WILLl!!”
Announcer and on video screen: “WHO WILL LEAD US TO VICTORY TODAY?!?”
Stadium refrain “SPARTANS WILLl!!”
At this point the team runs on to the field with Thunderstuck/Enter Sandman/etc. playing with the crowd going nuts, the team all fired up, and other team shaking in their boots!
Obviously the number of or better/different questions could be asked but I think the final “Who will lead us to victory today?” question or something similar would be key to the team rushing on to field after the “SPARTANS WILLl!!” refrain with appropriate music blaring. If we did this effectively it would help reinforce the goals and objectives into the team pregame – as well with the attendees - and help further the brand image and marketing impact of our cool and resonating “Spartan Will” branding strategy.
If it caught on and was done regularly before games it could be a really cool tradition started that may also help wow recruits and their families.
What do you think?
