After parting ways with first-time coach Antonio Pierce, the Las Vegas Raiders are bringing in an experienced leader.

The Raiders are hiring Super Bowl winner Pete Carroll to become their next head coach, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported Friday, per sources informed of the situation.


The 73-year-old Carroll will return to the sidelines after one year as a senior advisor for the Seattle Seahawks.
The Raiders mark the fourth NFL franchise that Carroll will lead.
