Just follow the posters you want to spend the most time with for info and you can quickly see all their posts in your news feed with one click. It should be significantly better, you don't even have to search for their names through all the threads. There will be nothing to sort. You can also click your alerts to see who is interacting with stuff you posted. Easy to check threads you've posted in and viewed as its contained in on the actual board through icons.
The functionality of the new board is like 100x better than that old UI. People just need to actually use the new functionality.
EDIT:
- I do agree they need to make the font smaller so topics are easier to scan on main forum page.
- There should also be an option to cursor over the thread and have a list of all your "followed posters" come up that have posted in that thread.
- They need to make the font/box smaller for each topic so there can be quick scans of topics on the first page
