I have heard that Michigan State assistant coach Jon Borovich remains a top candidate for the open Central Michigan men’s basketball head coach position and things seem to be getting close in the Chippewas’ search.
I have a connection that is close to the search on CMU’s side, and the source tells me it is essentially down to two finalists: Borovich and another current assistant coach elsewhere with some ties to the CMU program, but I was asked to keep the name and current school of the other candidate quiet.
