Pebble Beach is amazing but the course setup this year is terrible. The USGA caved to all the whining from the players and now the course has become a birdie fest. Did they go overboard some years? Yes. Now they over corrected.
Par as the winning score was always considered the optimal score. Guys are making the course look like child’s play today. It’s a sea of red with pretty much everyone under par today. They turned what is supposed to be the “toughest test in golf” and made it pedestrian.
