Driving our son back to college and listening in to his virtual class for an arts and history elective. Fascinating class on the history of rock-n-roll. The prof is covering all of the bands in the 60’s and 70’s.

The lecture I listened in on the drive was partly on The Yardbirds. Crazy history. At one point, the band had Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and Jimmy Page on part of the guitar section. They needed a warm up band for an upcoming gig and Page offered to bring in a few friends for the show. They called themselves the New Yardbirds. Those friends were Robert Plant, John Paul Jones, and John Bonham and became Led Zepplin. Crazy history. Great class
