The Western Mich game might be a little tougher than people expect. Thorne's dad is the offensive coordinator and probably knows his son well. They also put up some eye popping defensive stats last year. They were #2 in the country in 3rd down defense. MSU was 83rd. They were also #1 in the country in sacks per attempt. MSU was 65th. MSU gave up 7.29 yards per att and Western was at 7.55 so it wasn't all good for them. They have lost some key players. Still, it should be a good test for the Spartans.
