-will Damon Knox report to camp in top shape,he was understandably overweight & not in peak condition when he returned mid season last year from the injury.A healthy, well conditioned & motivated Knox could really make our DL rotation something special.

-it has been mentioned on this board that LJ Scott was really putting in serious work to show up on campus college ready conditioning wise, any word on if that's true and if he has the capacity & poise to pick up the playbook and pass blocking required to play RB early at MSU much like LeVeon Bell did.

-any word from folks in the know on how Geiger has recovered from his offseason surgery? He seemed to have a lot of poise for a freshman in '13 so it stands to reason that his struggles last year could be at least partially due to the injury.A return to form & even improvement could be vital to the teams playoff hopes this season what with all the production the offense lost due to player graduation.

-Vayante Copeland seems to have the makings of an outstanding DB in our system,I know Dantonio mentioned he thought VC "needs to lose a few pounds" before the start of fall camp, any word on if he has done so & if he has a realistic shot at starting at one of the CB spots opposite Cox?I know the coaches have talked up Edmonson & Colquhoun but I get the feeling that if Copeland reports in shape & plays with poise he could end up playing significant minutes in the defensive backfield this year.

-looking at the depth chart,it seems vital that Riley Bullough stay healthy, not much experienced depth behind him.I know they could move Harris to MLB but that doesn't seem to be his natural position.

-of the young OL in the program, who who are the 1 or 2 that can/will step up this year & earn trust and enter the playing rotation.I look forward to seeing how Miguel Machado looks in the fall, seems to be athletic and plays with a nasty streak so if he's made enough size/strength gains he could prove very important.

-IF.....and I realize it's a big if,Macgarrety Kings can stay focused off the field and play motivated & hungry on it,he could be in for a break out type season in this his final year on campus. If I recall, early in '13 when the WR corps was still struggling mightily(as they did the entire '12 campaign)it was Kings that finally stood up and stood out & was the first member of that position group that began making plays & producing points that started the positive chain reaction for the offense for the remainder of that season.Who else will step up in '16?

-Hartbarger is a wild card this season,if he gains consistency, boy would that be a coup for the special teams unit.

-last but far from least,I think one of the biggest things Narduzzi brought to the program was his non stop, contagious, all encompassing intensity. It fueled the defense & was a trademark for the program the last 6-7 years.I realize he is supposed to be an X's and O's mad scientist & a quality talent evaluator but his maniacal intensity may be the most difficult thing to replace on the staff.Who among Snyder,Barnett, etc best fills that gap?
