Perhaps the landscape has changed under the current Big Ten bowl structure but it always seemed that one of Mark Hollis’s strong suits was being able to promote MSU to Bowl Committees and close the deal with the best options possible. I know very little about Bill Beekman but by his own admission his background was an unlikely fit for the AD job. Hopefully there is enough institutional knowledge left in the Department to help him through this process but I don’t like the idea of him having to learn “on the job.” Yet another gift from the Nassar fallout.
