I rented a car from Avis at Detroit Metro airport and it took 40 minutes to get my assigned car even though I reserved in advance and pre-loaded all my info before arriving. Then I get to the car and it turns out the car was already assigned to another customer. I had to drag all my clubs, suitcase back across the lot and get a different car. Then the car I did get was not clean at all—outside of the car was filthy with bugs and interior no very clean. I left and just took the car through a car wash myself the next day. The drop off was very easy and went smoothly, though.
