When I sit back and think of all the highlight catches Davis has made this season, I'm struggling to find another MSU WR from the past to compare him to. In the NFL, it's DeAndre Hopkins. As they say about Hopkins, he makes those 50/50 catches into 70/30 catches. That's exactly what Davis has been doing. Also, like Hopkins, Davis has good speed, but not true breakaway speed.
As for MSU players, perhaps Charles Rogers?
Bottom line, IMO, Davis, as a possession receiver, is playing at a level I have not witnessed at MSU.
