Graduating Defensemen David Gucciardi has signed a 2 year ELC with the Washington Capitals beginning next season. It is expected he will sign an ATO (Amateur Tryout Agreement) to end the season with the Caps' AHL team, the Hershey Bears as well, to play the rest of the season out in Hershey. Gucciardi, a 7th round Caps draft pick in 2022) ends his MSU career with 139 games played, 17 goals and 28 assists. I personally thought Gucciardi took a huge step this season from previous years, and surprised me with how well he played limiting his mistake, stopping turnovers, and he is very deserving of this opportunity.
