I was reading some of the posts below about S&C and what improvements would be expected with the younger guys in the same program for a while. While I am all for bigger and faster athletes across the board, I am curious about the assignment knowledge or lack of amongst the group. So often do we hear “this assignment was missed” or “nobody picked up…”. Heck one could argue that Heyward, even with his physical limitations was one of the best blocking TEs we’ve had in a while, in his first year at the position no less. He didn’t blow people up but he got in their way, stayed in their way and then got to the next level better than most.

Hazelton is thought of as an Oline guru. Are his concepts too intricate? Do our players fully grasp their expectations? Is our problem at the position a talent issue or mental?
