Me, personally, I HATE McCormick Place for this event.

But no one consults my feelings on these things.

Anyway, here's the release BTN and ESPN sent out today:

ROSEMONT, Ill.
– The Big Ten Conference announced today that BTN and ESPNU will continue to provide coverage of Big Ten Football Media Days and the 44th Annual Kickoff Luncheon presented by Allstate and BMW. The 2015 events are scheduled for Thursday, July 30, and Friday, July 31, at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place and McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago.

BTN and BTN2Go will offer more than 13 hours of live coverage, more than double last year’s total. BTN begins its coverage with coach press conferences from 12-2 p.m. CT on Thursday, followed by coaches and players visiting the BTN set at media days for BTN Live, hosted by Gerry DiNardo, Howard Griffith and Dave Revsine from 2-6 p.m. BTN coverage of press conferences resumes at 8 a.m. on Friday, capped by Commissioner Jim Delany’s session at 10:15 a.m. BTN Live will return for a second-consecutive day, once again providing live coverage of the coaches and their players visiting the set from 2-6 p.m.

Mike Hall and Glen Mason will anchor the press conference coverage from the BTN Studio on both Thursday and Friday. Fans can also track the day’s activities by following @bigtennetwork, Tom Dienhart (@BTNTomDienhart) and Brent Yarina (@BTNBrentYarina) on Twitter.

For the 10th consecutive year, Big Ten Football Media Days will appear on an ESPN network. ESPNU is scheduled to televise all 14 head coaches’ press conferences live or tape-delayed on both Thursday and Friday between 12-3 p.m. as part of ESPNU’s College Football Media Days. In addition, Delany will appear via tape-delay on Friday as he addresses the assembled media. ESPN’s College Football Live will also provide coverage of media days, and coaches and players will appear across ESPN television and digital platforms.

The 2015 Big Ten Kickoff Luncheon presented by Allstate and BMW will take place on Friday at the McCormick Place Convention Center and BTN will air a Kickoff Luncheon Special at 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 1. Fans in attendance will take part in an autograph session with the head coaches beginning at 10 a.m., while select players will participate in brief, live interviews highlighted by questions from fans on-site and through social media channels. Coaches and players will be available for a photo session around 11 a.m. The luncheon itself begins at 11:30 a.m.

A limited number of tickets remain available for $110 per seat or $1,100 per table (10 seats). Contact Eddie Thiebe at the Big Ten office at 847-696-1010, ext. 164, or ethiebe@bigten.org to purchase tickets.

The Big Ten Kickoff Luncheon annually attracts some of the most talented names in college sports. The event has drawn legendary coaches as well as each of the conference’s Heisman Trophy winners since 1970. In all, more than 900 of the conference’s finest players, almost 80 head coaches and nearly 51,000 supporters have made the Big Ten Kickoff Luncheon a yearly stop in their preseason college football schedules.
