I spoke to a very connected guy in coaching and former MSU position coach today. He said that most programs do the right things in terms of handling off the field issues. Also, that coach D is by far one of the most stand up guys in the business. However, he fears that MSU reactions to the recent issues is basically oversteering. By nature coach D isn't a guy who is willing to be near the line, Blackwell was a guy who wanted to get as close to the line without crossing it. Now as this all unfolds he believes that we will be shooting from three feet behind the 3pt line, against teams who have no issue with crossing the line so as long as it results in a layup.
